As Zhuzha, a stray dog, roamed the streets, she had a noticeable limp and a distended belly. Love Furry Friends, a rescue group, noticed her condition and recognized the urgency of providing her with immediate medical attention.
A kind lady from the rescue team approached a random person and inquired about Zhuzha. The individual responded by saying that Zhuzha had already been spayed, thus ruling out the possibility of her swollen belly being due to pregnancy.
As I looked at the dog’s ear tag, I noticed that she was treated through the spay/neuter program in the city. However, I couldn’t help but wonder why her belly was so large that it hindered her ability to walk properly. The dog, named Zhuzha, stared at me with her cute puppy eyes, silently pleading for assistance from the kind woman in front of her.
As soon as Zhuzha’s owners noticed her swollen belly, they hurriedly took her to the vet. After a thorough check-up, the vet confirmed that her bloated belly was a result of a heart condition that led to excessive fluid buildup in her abdomen. To alleviate her discomfort, an operation was performed to drain the excess fluids, and it was a successful procedure. Zhuzha felt much better after the surgery.
After some time had passed, the kind-hearted person who had saved Zhuzha’s life came to see her again. The grateful pup happily devoured a tasty treat and enjoyed spending time with her rescuer. It was truly an amazing rescue! Now, Zhuzha is patiently waiting for her forever home, where she can live in a secure environment and receive all the love and care she deserves.
