After enduring the pain of being stung by countless bees, he was left stranded at a shelter by his own family.
The Pit Bull, who was deaf, was discovered at the shelter with severe blisters covering his body. Rescuers later gave him the name Stinger.
Since the dog’s condition was too severe for treatment, the decision was made to euthanize him. However, Carri Shipaila from LuvnPupz rescue in Greater Grand Rapids, MI, intervened to help. Upon learning about Stinger, she immediately drove almost an hour to pick him up from the shelter.
Sadly, his family refused to care for him, so she quickly took on the responsibility of saving Stinger’s life. She tended to his stings, treated a skin infection, and managed sarcoptic mange. However, he was later diagnosed with Pemphigus, an autoimmune disease that will be with him for life.
Since the expenses for his care are too high, he won’t be put up for adoption. However, he has been welcomed into a loving forever home by a foster family and will keep receiving the necessary care and therapy from LuvnPupz.
Stinger has made incredible progress since he was first abandoned at the shelter. The painful blisters that once plagued him are now a thing of the past, and his once dull coat has transformed into a beautiful shade of white.
He is an energetic and affectionate pup who is thriving in his new, caring environment! Don’t forget to ‘SHARE’ this heartwarming tale with your loved ones.
